“When my personal infertility journey led me to consider surrogacy, I could not find many relatable resources to introduce the idea of a gestational carrier to my children. I was inspired to write a story to help other families explain the concepts of surrogacy to young children. My hope is that “The Third Layer of the Cake” becomes a first step for parents beginning a surrogacy journey.”
